Out of favour Manchester United star Anthony Martial is targeting a switch to Sevilla in January if he can finally secure an exit from Old Trafford, according to reports.

The Frenchman has already announced his intention to end his stint at the club after six years in pursuit of regular first team action, having been frozen out by former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and not looking like his situation will improve under interim coach Ralf Rangnick.

Rangnick admitted last week that he was yet to speak to the French forward, who joined the club for around £36million in 2015, and now he has set his sights on a move to LaLiga, Sky Sports claim.

It says he has made Sevilla his number one choice of destination, with the high-flying side currently 2nd in the table and in a position to offer him an important role in the squad – coached by Julen Lopetegui.

Sevilla are keen on a loan deal, the report adds, with a view to make the move permanent, though LaLiga rivals Barcelona are also interested in a similar deal.

Juventus are another party keeping tabs on Martial as European outfits bid to revive the once promising star’s career.

Still only 26, Martial has played 268 times for United, scoring 79 goals, and is said to be interested Newcastle United too – while Atletico Madrid have also been credited with interest this month.
